THERE IS FURTHER RESEARCH TO DO - William Saddleton baptised at Carbrooke in 1628 is suggested as a possibility for the William Saddleton above by Richard Ball, also a descendant, on his website - Ballfamilyrecords.co.uk. John Martin, another descendant, and Richard Ball, have done extensive and interesting research on the Hawes family taking it from Sporle where Dorothy Hawes was baptised, onto Griston. An earlier generation lived at Stanford, moving there from Suffolk where several more generations appear to have been found in various Suffolk records.
